Treatment options would depend solely on how much of your disc have become herniated. Some can take the niggle but, truthfully, since it is herniated, I would suggest surgery. If it was only just a bulging disc, then you could try and concordat with it.

Don't know if an inversion table will work, but epidurals work for some people. They inject a steroid into the epidural space within you spine, and I know it sounds scary, but it worked for me. I have epidurals every 2-3 months for 2 years until they stopped working and I had surgery on my herniated disc. Also try physical psychotherapy and a TENS device.
