A third exercise which is good at traffic lights is to clench your butt cheecks together...try them one cheek at a time and both together. Lying on your rear and holding your fanny can help you do them one at a time.

Sorry to hear around your back. I would telephone the neuroscience department in your hospital. They promise with put a bet on pain and they should own a booklet of exercieses for each specfic final problem. I know that our hospital does here!

While lying on your rear legs put 2 pillows under your knees, if on your side sleeping put 1 pillow between your knees. This take the strain off the lower wager on. Also in the vehicle use a lumber roll. If filling the dishwasher squat do not bend at the waist and avoid adjectives twisting motions as in sweeping or rake.
Also the less sitting you do the better.

if your aching is so significant that you can't walk, try walking or reading light kicking in a pool. it is much easier on the joint.
Swimming, being contained by water take the stress off your body.
I do chew over seeing a physical therapist would be apt if you can get your insurance to cover it. They could show you what you can do minus hurting yourself further.
